So if you’ve watched my last video, you will notice that I HATE WATER!  Its plain and flavorless, but I need it.  My body needs it and my hair needs it!  Your body is make up of about 60 – 70% water and you lose it constantly.  When your body is depleted of water, most people will notice that he or she starts to get a headache or become light-headed.  I know for me I get headaches and I can’t figure out from where it came. It usually occurs because I haven’t had enough water.

Now when it comes to hair, moisture loss is a common occurrence that can be tough to manage sometimes.  In the summer, it can be extremely hot and heat evaporates water.  In the winter, it can be extremely cold and windy, which makes the brittle and dry.  Spring promotes frizz with the excessive rain.  So I’m assuming fall might be the perfect season!  Either way your hair is always losing moisture some how, but are you replacing the lost moisture?

My challenge for you this week: Drink more water. Some say 1/2 your weight in ounces and others say 8- 8oz glasses.  Either way, GET IT IN!!!  On top of drinking water,  you have to also learn to retain water in your hair via protective styling and coating the hair with products that promote moisture retention like Coconut oil or Shea butter, and products that can help infuse moisture like leave in conditioners and hair lotions!!  I wish you guys all the best this week!!!
