As many of you know, I am a DIE-HARD CurlBOX supporter! Every since I could get on the (which like many of you took some time), I have faithfully been charged $20 a month and received an amazing curlBOX full of all kinds of delicious goodies for my hair! I’ve received 8 boxes (July to February), in addition to shopping the cB Black Friday Sale. Within that time I am proud to say that I have found soooooo many products that I LOVE. These are products that I will purchase after I run out vs. waiting on my next box to see what new items I will get, so… I canceled my subscription to curlBOX. I firmly believe that this company is about helping women of color try the best products out there for our hair, whether relaxed or natural. But, it is also about helping you find what works…

New Year, New Me: My Change Begins

Most of you probably don’t kno, but I have struggled with weight for a very long time. Every year I try to tackle it, and every year I don’t quite fail, but I don’t really succeed either. We this year is gonna be different. I recently purchase a Groupon for medical weight loss through Medical Weigh Loss Solutions. This was and is my last time trying to do this. And I only say that because every time I build up my hopes, they seem to get diminished and I lose more and more self-confidence. I’m tired of feeling like I don’t look pretty or I don’t have the perfect body shape. This is the most debilitating feeling and frame of mind ever! Angel Beauty Box Pre-Launch Party & Review

Hello Good People!!! So, a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend the Angel Beauty Box Pre-Launch Party. Angel Beauty Box is a customized beauty sampling box. Not only does it contains hair products, it also contains beauty products like nail polish, facial creams and make-up. The party was an absolute BLAST!!! We got to personally meet and talk with the owner Angelic Washington! She was such a pleasure and so was her team! We had so much fun opening the boxes that we couldn’t keep quiet while she was talking!!! The we had great food and drinks AND every person who attended received a complimentary box!! Twited Bantu Knot-Out Tutorial

Hello everybody!! I trust that you all had a very happy Thanksgiving! I enjoyed spending the quality time with both side of my family under one roof! We played games, watched the game, ate, laughed, slept…it was wonderful. Anywho…this past weekend I had the pleasure of doing my first tutorial for my Thanksgiving hairstyle, the Twisted Bantu Knot-Out. I received so many good comments and so much feedback from this hairstyle. Everyone was asking how I did it and what I used. At the time, I didn’t think to make a video for it. Then, on Black Friday, I had the opportunity to attend the curlBOX Black Friday Sale. That sale was MONSTROUS!!! And I mean that. So let me just start off my saying that this was a BLESSING!!!I got a message on instagram on this picture and it say to contact curlBOX about a shoot! I screamed! I really did. and the rest was history…. This past Sunday me, CharyJay, and Ebony were at Beya Salon Studios for the curlBox Holiday shoot for the December mimi mag! Call time 10 am! 9:45am – I arrive and struggle to figure out how to get into the building (mostly me), along with the videographer and his assistant. The we realize one door is locked and the other is not…guess which door I pulled on…. 10:00am – Ebony arrives….my goodness she’s pretty!
