Here is the Week 4 Check-In. It was a rough weekend for me, but I’m still trying!! Don’t for get to share you thoughts!
Today I am sore! Yesterday morning my husband and I got up to go play tennis! Now…I stink at tennis, and the only thing I have going for me is that I can serve pretty consistently (though not always in the right box). But that is not the point. The point I’m making is that I got up and did something. We were out there about an hour and we were running after our balls and swinging those rackets. We were moving!! My challenge for you this week: Go do something you like!! Hopefully most of you have been exercising throughout the past three weeks. Find some physical activity that you enjoy and do it this week! Get out of your normal routine. If you like dancing and not just doing Zumba (though it is VERY fun), GO OUT!! I’m sure there is a Spanish dance club with your name…

So clearly this is not a video….having some technical issues this week. Anywho…on to the check-in for this past week! My water intake was much better this week! I really had to track it and limit my juice, which was a bit difficult because it was Employee Appreciation Week at my job. And with employee appreciation, comes lots of junk food….and will power. It was as struggle to eat well, but I managed to get in 3 fruits and veggies a day!! YAY ME!!! I would like to say that I killed working out this week!! I met my goal of 3x a week and on the 3rd time (Saturday), I worked out for 2 hrs!! Please believe that I am sore from it!!! Working out is still a struggle for me but, I will conquer it! Hey everybody!!! Here is my Week 1 Check-In for the Gurlish Curls’ Curl Boot Camp!!! My successes this week feel in the categories of protective styling and eating more fruits and veggies!! My struggles feel under water intake and exercise. These 2 components are key for healthy hair and a healthy body. The first hump to over come anything new, be it a new job, hobby, or meeting new people, is getting started. This is usually the hardest part of it all. There are so many things racing through your mind about whatever challenge you are undertaking. “Will it work? What if I fail? I am going to fail? I’m afraid, etc…” Well here’s the thing, you only fail if you don’t try. So my tip for this week: GIVE IT A SHOT!!! What do you have to lose? Nothing. What do you have to gain? EVERYTHING!!! Set a small goal for yourself and work towards it. There is nothing stopping you but you. And trust me, I am talking to myself right now. I have the hardest time controlling my negative thoughts, but with prayer and self-control I’m trying to think more positively about everything, especially with this challenge! Best of…
